Howdy, I’m Leyna!! Art director, idea machine, and self-proclaimed chaos wrangler with Cajun and Texan roots. After 10 years in Austin, I packed my bags and boots and hopped on a plane to LAX to art direct at Cartwright.

Anyone can try for perfect, but I thrive on creating with purpose. Blending humor, strategy, and just the right amount of sass, ideas become more than just really good ads (which they are, obviously).

When I’m not designing or brainstorming, you’ll find me hugging my dogs and husband, standing on a soapbox, getting food on my shirt, or listening to far too many audiobooks.

okay but what in tarnation is the “hydra of ideas?”

Well, beyond being me (obviously), it’s the creative insult my brother came up with. AKA the nicest way to call your little sister annoying.

Here’s the backstory: I was pitching ideas* for our mom’s 60th birthday over a year in advance (because I love a party). Every time my brother shot one down, I came back with a multitude of new ideas to celebrate her. Later, he called my dad and said, “She’s the Hydra of Ideas.” My dad, confused, replied, “Hydrant?” To which my brother clarified, “No, Hydra. For every idea I chop off, three more grow back.”

So yeah, that’s me! Try to stop me from brainstorming. I dare you.
